your own personal criteria. Then become a member and begin to contact candidates. As you can see

- How to register at ProfiAupair
Simply click on
New Account button in the upper menu and
fill out the application form requiring your contact information. Then click on the appropriate service
you would like to use: “Register as an Au Pair,“ “Register as an Au Pair Couple,“
or “Register as a Famil“. Fill out the required entry fields, the majority of which require
yes/no answers or the appropriate value you choose from the scroll-down menu. Everything is in detail,
simple, fast, and intuitive.
- Is ProfiAupair an agency?
No. ProfiAupair is here to enable you to find a suitable Au Pair/Family on your own. Isn’t this the way it should work?
- Do I need to use an agency?
Only in the case that you are going to the USA, where you will require a J1 visa. This can only be
obtained if you become an Au Pair through an approved American agency. However, there is no reason you
cannot take advantage of our service to find a suitable Family and then contact one of these agencies.
- How can I obtain contact information to an Au Pair/Family from your web site?
You have two possibilities, one active and the other passive. The active option involves becoming a
member and acquiring contacts to your families if you are an Au Pair or to Au Pairs if you are a Family.
The passive option means that you acquire contacts by searching profiles of individuals that have membership
status and permit their contact information to be displayed to non-members.
- How much does membership cost and how can I join?
Our membership prices are set on the basis of the broad selection available to you. It seems natural
to us that you will pay according the quality of service that we offer. You can find the manner prices

- What payment methods do you offer?
Due to the fact that our services are offered on a global basis we have chosen to use the payment method
that is most user-friendly – by credit card, through PayPal, the most widespread and most secure online payment
system. If you don’t have a credit card you can use a bank transfer, though you must count on a longer period
before your membership is activated.
- How quickly do I obtain membership status after paying the membership fee?
Usually within 12 hours.
- How many people can I contact after joining?
You can contact as many people as you wish, but we recommend that you make a list of the criteria you
would like to use to find an Au Pair/Family. Then you can begin to search our database and look for profiles
and contact those that best correspond to your requirements. This method will save you and Au Pairs/Families time.
- I contacted an individual from your web site and haven't received a reply. What should I do?
It can happen that someone will not reply to your query. This can be due to a number of reasons:
your e-mail may end up in the recipient's spam box or perhaps they have already found an Au Pair/Family and
don't have time to respond to additional interested parties. We recommend that you be patient, i.e. wait a
few days and then write another letter. If you still don’t receive any reply it is best to continue your search.
- How should I contact an Au Pair or Family?
The best way to make initial contact is by e-mail and then later make a follow-up phone call. This is
the best way of finding out if the Au Pair/Family is appropriate for you.
- How can I find an Au Pair or Family?
Clarify for yourself the expectations you have from an Au Pair/Family. Then choose either Search for an
Au Pair or Search for a Family. Set your search criteria or simply page through profiles and look for
appropriate candidates.
- Can I contact a Family or Au Pair without having to join?
Yes, but as mentioned above this process is rather restricted and longer.
- How can I find my profile as quickly as possible?
All you need to do is remember your identification number and enter it in the field that
searches by identification numbers.
- What should I do if I forget my password?
This is no problem; a new password will be generated for you and sent by e-mail. You can
then change this password on the My Account page under Change Password.
- How can I delete my account?
If you decide to discontinue using our service you can delete your account on the My Account
page by selecting Delete Account. You will be prompted to enter your password to delete your account.
