- What is ProfiAupair?
ProfiAupair is a global online Au Pair search engine based on a simple principle:
on the basis of your criteria you can search an Au Pair/host Family who you can
then contact by e-mail to discuss an employment opportunity. The service is
comfortable, intuitive, and inexpensive.
- How does ProfiAupair work?
ProfiAupair works by enabling both Au Pairs and host families to register in our
system. On the basis of their chosen criteria these parties then search for a
suitable match that meets the expectations of both parties. They then agree on
a working arrangement. This simple system offers the enormous advantage of being
able to make your own decisions.

Because ProfiAupair offers you comprehensive worldwide service in multiple
languages with an emphasis on affordability. The system undergoes constant
development and improvements. We have a number of projects prepared for you
such as chat, hot list, expanded language support, detailed searches, more
detailed and in-depth interviews, the implementation of SSL, and others to make
your search easier and to improve the use of our service. We make great efforts
to ensure that our service is as easy, affordable, and clear as possible. We have
also decided to earmark 10% of collected membership fees for charity.

ProfiAupair is a project created by a university-educated team that decided to
simplify the search for an appropriate Au Pair or host Family and to enable
advantageous bilateral cooperation. We also are interested in providing the
opportunity to become an Au Pair to anyone interested in pursuing this experience.

- How to register?
Simply click on the Registration button in the upper menu and fill out the application form
requiring your contact information. Then click on the appropriate service you would like to
use: “Register as an Au Pair,“ “Register as an Au Pair Couple“ or “Register as a Family“.
Then answer all the mandatory questions by either selecting yes/no or by choosing the
appropriate value from the scroll-down menu and send the form in. Registering is simple,
fast, and intuitive.
- Browser requirements
For greater security we recommend that you the latest version of your favourite internet
browser. In order for the ProfiAupair site to function properly you need to permit cookies
(this is required by our server to successfully sign on) and have JavaScript enabled.
- Signing on
The most likely cause of difficulties with signing on is not having cookies permitted.
Check to make sure that you do, and if you encounter any other problems please

- Signing off
For security reasons, if you use a public computer make sure that you sign off after
completing your work with our service. You can accomplish this either by closing the
search engine page or by signing off in the upper menu.
- Signing on for the first time
To sign on for the first time you will require the password that our system has
generated for you. You will find the password in the e-mail you receive after
successful registration. You can then change your password at any time afterwards.
- Information panel
In the upper right corner of the My Account page you will find an information
panel that informs you when you created the given account, the date you last
signed on, the date of the last modification, your status, and the expiration
date of your membership. The times listed are in GMT.
- Editing registration data
You can change your personal, contact, and interview information at any time. Be
sure to always enter true and updated information.
- Editing your password
You can change your password at any time. In the interest of your own security,
change the password from time to time and do not use common words. If you forget
your password we are not able to provide you your original password. A new
password will be generated for you.
- My photos
You can post two photos of yourself. Our system only allows photos in jpg format.
Providing photos increases the chances of having your profile viewed by a Family/Au Pair;
therefore we recommend that you add your photos as soon as possible. If your photos
are not in jpg format use an online format converter or send them to us and we will
convert and post them for you.
- Deactivating your account
If you decide to discontinue using our service you can delete your account on the
My Account page by selecting Delete Account. You will be prompted to enter your
password to delete your account.
- How to search?
Choose the type of search according to the criteria that best suits you or choose
the fast search option. You will find these options in the left menu. In the near
future we will offer you detailed search options.
- General Search
The General Search option currently filters the greatest amount of data according
to the criteria you have entered. To select more than one value use the Ctrl key
for more options. Selections without a preference mean that no data is filtered.
- Searching by country
Simply select the country of the Au Pair/Family and hit search.
- Searching by nationality
Simply select the nationality of the Au Pair/Family and hit search.
- Searching by language
Simply select the language the Au Pair/Family speaks and hit search.
- Advanced Search
We currently do not offer this option, but due to the great interest in our
services we plan to introduce this feature in the near future.
